Product Warranty:

T & J Contracts Warranty Policy

Your product is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the following terms and conditions:


What the Warranty Covers

This warranty covers material and manufacturing defects present at the time of purchase. It entitles you to:

  • A repair or replacement of the product, or
  • If the product is no longer available, a replacement of a similar model or colour.

The decision to repair, replace, or provide an equivalent product is at the sole discretion of T & J Contracts.


Custom-Made Products

Many of our products are custom-made to meet your specific requirements. Please note the following additional terms for custom-made items:

  1. Non-Returnable Policy:

    • Custom-made products are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel, as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
    • Refunds or returns are only provided if the product is deemed faulty or not as described, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  2. Customer Measurements:

    • Products made to customer-provided measurements or specifications are not eligible for refunds or replacements if the error results from incorrect information provided during the ordering process.
  3. Warranty for Custom-Made Products:

    • The same 12-month warranty applies to custom-made items for material or manufacturing defects.
    • The warranty does not cover errors caused by incorrect measurements or specifications provided by the customer.
  4. Inspection Requirement:

    • All warranty claims for custom-made products must undergo inspection. If the product is deemed free of defects and matches the agreed specifications, no refund or replacement will be provided.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Normal wear and tear or deterioration, including the lifespan of components.
  2. Damage caused by misuse or negligence, including:
    • Exposure to chemicals or fire.
    • Animal chewing, knocks, drops, dents, cracks, tears, or other accidents.
  3. Unauthorized repairs or alterations.
  4. Loss or theft.

How to File a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is faulty and eligible for a warranty claim:

  1. Contact Us:

    • Email us at info@tjcontracts.com with the following:
      • A detailed description of the fault.
      • Your order number and date of purchase.
    • Wait for our response with further instructions and a return address.
  2. Return the Product:

    • Once instructed, return the product to the provided address, including:
      • A note describing the fault.
      • Your name, order number, email address, phone number, and address.
    • Ensure the product is securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
  3. Inspection and Resolution:

    • Upon receiving the product, we will inspect it to determine eligibility under the warranty.
    • If the claim is approved, we will repair, replace, or provide an equivalent product in line with our warranty terms.

Important Notes:

  • Customers must return the product within 14 calendar days of initiating a warranty claim.
  • Products returned without prior authorization or after the warranty period will not be processed and must be collected at the customer’s expense.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is confirmed faulty. In such cases, reasonable return postage costs will be reimbursed.

Exclusions

The following items are not covered by this warranty:

  1. Custom-made products that are free of faults and meet agreed specifications.
  2. Items purchased from authorized retailers. These must be returned to the place of purchase for warranty claims.
  3. Any product returned more than 12 months after purchase or beyond the warranty period.

Recommendations for Returns

  • We recommend using tracked and signed-for delivery for returning products.
  • T & J Contracts is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Return and Refund Policy

At T & J Contracts, we are committed to customer satisfaction. Please read our return and refund policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations.


Standard Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your online purchase, you may return the goods within 14 calendar days of receiving the product. This policy is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • Condition for Returns:
    • Products must be unused, undamaged, and returned in their original packaging with all labels and tags intact.
    • Returns that do not meet these conditions may be subject to a re-stocking fee of up to 50% of the total purchase price.
  • Return Shipping Costs:
    • Customers are responsible for return postage and packaging costs unless the product is faulty or not as described.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange your purchase:

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving the item.
  • Provide your Order Number and full purchase details.
  • Exchanges are subject to management discretion and stock availability.
  • If the exchanged item is of higher value, you will be required to pay the price difference.

Exclusions

The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable unless deemed faulty after inspection by T & J Contracts:

  • Custom-Made or Made-to-Order Products (e.g., stair gates and loft stairs designed to customer specifications).
  • Sale or Discounted Items.
  • Packaged Product Deals or Offers:
    • These are treated as a single product, and all items included in the package must be returned together.

Faulty or Not-As-Described Products

If the product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Faulty items must be inspected and approved by T & J Contracts before a refund or exchange is processed.


Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Contact Us:
    • Email us at info@tjcontracts.com with:
      • Reason for the refund request.
      • Order number and date of purchase.
    • A return address will be provided upon approval.
  2. Return the Product:
    • Include a note with:
      • Your name.
      • Order number.
      • Email address.
      • Phone number.
      • Your address.
    • Ship the item(s) to the provided address.
  3. Refund Timeline:
    • Refunds will be processed within 14 calendar days after the returned item is inspected and approved.

Important Notes

  1. Custom-Made Products:
    • Custom products cannot be returned or refunded unless deemed faulty.
    • This exemption is in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
  2. Authorized Retailer Purchases:
    • Items purchased from an authorized retailer must be returned to the place of purchase.
  3. Refunds Beyond 60 Days:
    • If a refund is issued after 60 days from the original transaction, the customer must provide valid payment details to receive the refund.

Delivery Address Responsibility

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a correct and complete delivery address at the time of purchase.
  • T & J Contracts will not be held liable for any delivery failures or delays caused by incorrect address details provided by the customer.
  • If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect delivery address or the absence of the customer at the delivery location, the customer will be responsible for any additional re-delivery fees.

Custom-Made Orders

  • For custom-made products, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate dimensions and specifications when placing an order.
  • T & J Contracts will manufacture custom products based solely on the information provided by the customer. Any errors or discrepancies resulting from incorrect measurements or specifications supplied by the customer are not eligible for refunds, replacements, or warranty claims.
  • Please double-check all dimensions and specifications carefully before submitting your order.

Paying with Klarna

We offer payment options in partnership with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden. Payments are made directly to Klarna. Available payment options include:

  • Pay Later: Delay your payment for up to 30 days after purchase.
  • Slice It: Spread the cost over monthly installments.

  • T & J Contracts is not a lender but acts as an introducer for Klarna’s payment options.
